Top UK automotive roadshow comes to Oldfields Garage
Tuesday 14th July 2026
We welcomed workshop owners and technicians from across the UK last weekend as we hosted a prestigious national training and networking event.
The ALLDATA Repair Excellence Event, held on Saturday 11 July, brought together professionals from the independent automotive sector to share knowledge, discuss technical challenges and explore how access to official manufacturer repair data can help independent garages maintain the highest standards when working on modern vehicles.
Tim Benson, Managing Director at Oldfields Garage, said: “Giving up a Saturday is never a small ask, especially in this industry, but if workshop owners and technicians care about doing the job properly, developing their team, improving their business and being part of a stronger independent aftermarket, this is exactly the kind of event worth making time for.
“The best progress in our trade happens when workshop professionals get in the same room, share openly and challenge each other to keep raising standards.
“Our aim was to create an environment where people could take away practical solutions to real workshop challenges and apply them in their own businesses straight away.”
The event featured a series of practical seminars focused on the importance of genuine vehicle manufacturer repair data, helping independent garages improve efficiency, accuracy and safety when servicing increasingly complex vehicles.
With vehicle technology continuing to advance, particularly with the growth of electric and hybrid vehicles, having access to accurate repair information is becoming increasingly important for independent workshops.
All catering was supplied by Herefordshire independent businesses Kingsland Tea Rooms & Café supplying breakfast and snacks, and Wing It Hereford bringing their Airstream for lunch.
